I have been working on this tea for about a year now, and I think we've got it down to absolute perfection. In Trim Healthy Mama speak this is an all day sipper, but now that summer is coming on I can totally see having many of these a day. It's so refreshing with that tiny hint of tartness as a final note. It's delicious! The health benefits of this tea are amazing--one bag of oolong tea burns 167 calories when brewed, and MCT oil is a massive fat burning, immune system boosting, energy giving powerhouse. AND it just plain ol' tastes great! It goes perfectly with a warm afternoons by the pool or in the back yard watching your kiddos play. It is summer in a glass.
To make two quarts of tea:
•two cups of just off the boil water
•2 tsp of MCT oil
•let that sit until mostly cooled.
In your two quart jar add:
•a scant half teaspoon of stevia (THM Pure Stevia is the best with no funny aftertaste)
•about 1/4 cup of lemon or lime juice
Top with water and refrigerate. Serve over ice. Add in apple cider vinegar (work up to 1T per 30 ounces of water) to help with blood sugar control and reducing fasting blood sugar.
To make a single serving adjust as follows:
•one Tazo Passion Tea bag
•one oolong tea bag
•1/2 tsp MCT oil
Allow to cool.
When cool add brewed tea to a large cup and add the following:
•1/32 tsp of THM Pure Stevia (officially called a doonk!)
•2 tablespoons of lemon or lime juice (or a drop or two of Young Living lemon or lime essential oil).
Add ice, ACV, and top with water. Give it a good stir and enjoy!
